I’ll push the wood. Blaze the fire (Stir it, stir it, stir it together)
Then I’ll satisfy your heart’s desire (Stir it, stir it, stir it together)
Said I’ll stir it. Yeah
Every minute
All you got to do baby
Is keep it in
And stir it up, come on little darling, stir it up. Come on baby
Come on and stir it up, oh little darling, stir it up
In this Bob Marley song “stir it up” there are obviously no complex metaphors here about world peace and liberation struggles. The fire and pushing of wood are obviously sexual connotations that expose the play boy side of the reggae superstar.
He is reported to have had many extra maritial affairs, one of which is his famous link up with Miss World 1976 Cindy Breakspeare producing love child and well known reggae artist Damion “Junior Gong” Marley.
